Terms of Service

Last Updated: November 6, 2026

Agreement to These Terms

Sitemetrics ("Sitemetrics," "we," "our," or "us") is a division of Morgan Ventures, Inc., a North Carolina corporation. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Sitemetrics website, waitlist, accounts, API, browser extension, data downloads, and related services (together, the "Services"). By joining the waitlist, creating an account, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this document, and your continued use of the Services after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.

What Sitemetrics Is

Sitemetrics ranks websites and shows facts about them: where they stand, how that has changed, and what their public homepages and public records show. A position is relative prominence. It is not a count of visits.

Sitemetrics is deliberately not a grader, an audit, or a recommendation tool. What we publish is not a judgment of any website's quality, security, or legitimacy, and it is not advice.

Waitlist and Early Access

Before general availability, we operate a waitlist. Joining the waitlist means we will store your email address and contact you about availability, per our Privacy Policy. A waitlist place does not guarantee access, pricing, or launch timing. Early-access features may change or be withdrawn without notice.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account and API keys secure and for all activity under your account. If you create or sign in to your account through a third-party provider such as Google or GitHub, you are also responsible for keeping that provider account secure, and your use of it remains subject to the provider's own terms. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate access if account information is inaccurate, your use creates risk for the Services or others, or you violate these Terms.

Using Our Data

You may use the Services and what you get from them for your own personal or internal business purposes, and you may quote individual results if you name Sitemetrics as the source. Some data comes from third parties, and we name the source where we show it. That data remains subject to its source's terms, which may require you to credit the source if you pass it on.

Acceptable Use

You may not, unless we agree otherwise in writing:

  • Copy our data in bulk, by scraping or any other way around the limits of the website or the API;
  • Resell, license, or republish our data, or use it to build a competing service or dataset;
  • Use the Services to harass, defame, or defraud anyone, or to send spam;
  • Say or imply that a position on Sitemetrics measures visits or endorses a website;
  • Probe, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Services, or circumvent rate limits or other abuse controls;
  • Misrepresent who you are or impersonate another person or organization.

Website Owners

SitemetricsBot explains how we read homepages and how robots.txt stops it. If you own a website, you can also stop SitemetricsBot by proving you control the website. Either way, the website keeps its place in the ranking and its page, which shows what was read before, with the date. For anything else about a website's Sitemetrics page, email us.

Plans and Subscriptions

Plans. Sitemetrics offers a Free plan and paid plans. Each plan includes the features and limits described on our pricing page when you choose it, such as how far down a list you can see, how many websites you can follow, and how many rows you can download. The Free plan has no time limit and requires no payment. There is no free trial of a paid plan.

Payment. Paid plans are sold as subscriptions, billed in U.S. dollars in advance, either monthly or yearly. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). When you subscribe, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method the price of your plan, and any applicable taxes, at the start of each billing period. You enter your payment details on Stripe's checkout page; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, for a period of the same length, at the price then in effect, until you cancel it. A yearly plan is a prepaid year: it is paid for in one payment at the start of the year.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from the billing page of your dashboard. There is no contract and no minimum term beyond the period you have paid for. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: your paid plan stays active until then, it does not renew, and your account then moves to the Free plan. Canceling a yearly plan stops its next renewal; it does not end the year already paid for.

No refunds. All payments are non-refundable. We do not give refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, unused features or usage allowances, cancellation, or moving to a smaller plan, except where the law requires.

Changing plans. When you move to a larger plan or a longer billing period, the change takes effect at once: the unused part of your current period is credited toward the new price and the difference is charged immediately. When you move to a smaller plan or a shorter billing period, the change takes effect at the end of your current period. If your account holds more than a smaller plan allows (for example, more followed websites, saved lists, or API keys), you keep what it holds, but you cannot add more of that kind until it is within the plan's limits.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe may try your payment method again over the following days, and your paid plan stays active meanwhile. If the payment still cannot be collected, your subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan. You can update your payment method at any time from the billing page of your dashboard.

Price changes. We may change the price of a paid plan. A new price applies to your subscription only from a renewal that is at least 30 days after we email you about the change. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before that renewal.

Taxes. Prices do not include taxes unless we say so. You are responsible for any sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes that apply to your purchase, and we may collect them where the law requires.

Usage limits. We may establish reasonable limits on use of the Services and may adjust limits to protect the Services.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time. The Services may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, outages, or events outside our control.

Intellectual Property; Suggestions

We and our licensors own the Services and all related intellectual-property rights, including the design, text, graphics, software, and the selection and arrangement of data. © 2026 Sitemetrics, a division of Morgan Ventures, Inc. All rights reserved. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services as described above; they transfer no ownership. "Sitemetrics," the Sitemetrics logo, and related marks are trademarks of Morgan Ventures, Inc.; do not use them without written permission. Names and logos of other websites shown in the Services belong to their owners. If you send us suggestions or ideas, we may use them without restriction or compensation.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe something in the Services infringes your copyright, email us or write to Morgan Ventures, Inc., 13200 Strickland Rd, #114-199, Raleigh, NC 27613. Include your name and contact details, the work you say is infringed, the page where the material appears, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or may act for the owner, and your signature. We may end the access of anyone who infringes repeatedly.

Other Websites

The Services link to other websites and show information about them. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain or do.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Services or your account for violation of these Terms, risk to the Services, or extended non-payment on a paid plan.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any data, ranking, or report is accurate, complete, or current.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost goodwill, lost data, or business interruption, arising from or related to the Services. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Services in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) if you have paid nothing.

Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sitemetrics, Morgan Ventures, Inc., and their officers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, expenses, and liabilities arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Governing Law and General Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue for disputes lie in the state and federal courts located in Raleigh, North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect; our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Using Our Data, Acceptable Use, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, and this section) survive.
